" Fields of Dreams: 118 Years of Agricultural Achievements "
2024 FAIR THEME The theme selected for the 2024 Fair and Parade is: " Fields of Dreams: 118 Years of Agricultural Achievements " We encourage you to use your interpretation of the theme in fair activities such as parade floats, store decorating contests and other fair events as they arise.
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE 2024 Welcome to the Vermilion Agricultural Society Fair! The Vermilion Fair proudly stands as one of Western Canada’s largest and oldest agricultural fairs. This year’s theme “ Fields of Dreams: 118 Years of Agricultural Achievement." sparks images of vacant fields from long ago and an opportunity to appreciate what may occupy them now and to be hopeful for what they may hold in the future. This resonates when I think of our Agricultural Society: Our history, the work we are achieving, and our collective hopes of where we will be. It is exciting and something the community as a whole should be very proud of. Our work in organizing this event doesn't happen without all the contributors. Whether in the form of volunteering, sponsorship, donation, attendance, all of the above or something else entirely, our society humbly thanks you for enabling our “Fields of Dreams.” Thank you for joining us in celebrating all the work that has been done to have a successful 118th year of achievement, camaraderie, and fun! The Vermilion Agricultural Society is a 'not for profit' organization run by volunteers. Endless hours of work and organization by the volunteers that comprise the society membership, the committee members, the exhibitors and the many additional volunteers who step up at fair time and of course the long hours of hard work by our office staff; bring this event to fruition. Without the support and hard work of this group of people, such a feat would not be possible. The Society continues to work hard to make changes to our Fair in order to make it informative, educational and of course fun for families and all who attend.

The Vermilion Agricultural Society was the proud recipient of the 2013 & 2015 Fairboard of the Year Award presented by the Alberta Professional Chuckwagon & Chariot Association.
Vermilion Agricultural Society's involvement with APCCA has been one that has endured for a number of years and we greatly appreciate the contribution they make to our fair.
