Vermilion Agricultural Society
The Vermilion Agricultural Society is pleased to present the
112th Annual Vermilion Fair: July 26, 27, 28 - 2018.
Thank You Vermilion and Area
Warm temperatures and plenty of sun had capacity crowds attending the 3 day 2017 Vermilion Fair. Food venues saw long continuous lineups for food and drink - with most if not all of them, out of food before the fair ended on Saturday night. The grandstand performances drew large crowds with standing room only for the evening Pony Chuckwagon races. Audiences packed the stands to watch the ever popular Modified Pulls Saturday afternoon. In fact all the events - the American Poultry Association - sanctioned Poultry Show, the Light Horse Show, the Heavy Horse with its increasely popular Heavy Horse Hitch Classes, the Sheep Show, an Antique Tractor Pulls all benefited from the large crowds. The fireworks Saturday evening concluded a very successful three days which saw attendance over the period draw crowds in excess of 27,000 people.
We are excited for what next year has in store.
Stay tuned to this site as we plan the 2018 Vermilion Fair.
The Vermilion Fair
is made possible through the efforts of many dedicated volunteers
The Vermilion Agricultural Society is a 'not for profit' organization run by volunteers. Endless hours of work and organization by the volunteers that comprise the society membership, the committee members, the exhibitors and the many additional volunteers who step up at fair time and of course the long hours of hard work by our office staff; bring this event to fruition. Without the support and hard work of this group of people, such a feat would not be possible. The Society continues to work hard to make changes to our Fair in order to make it informative, educational and of course fun for families and all who attend.
Thank you for the continued support from our many sponsors who help make the Vermilion Fair possible. The three days of the Fair will draw approximately 27,000 visitors from throughout Vermilion and surrounding Agricultural communities. It generates much needed economic spin off for the community.
