Parade 2023

The 2023 Parade starts at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 27th.

fair theme

Everyone is invited to participate in the 2023 parade to kick off the Fair!

This year’s theme is: "Dust, Rust or Bust!”

We’re still shaking off the Dust & Rust from the past and we’re going for Bust! We can’t wait to see what fabulous creations the Community shows up with! There is no pre-registration needed for the parade or entry fee, so we’re hoping for a record number of floats!!

Please note that the maximin float height is typically 13 feet so the float does not interfere with overhead lines or traffic lights.

The morning of the Parade, we ask that all entries enter the marshalling area from 44th Ave EAST of the Vermilion Mall before 9:30 am on Thursday, July 27th.

Judging will begin at 10 am and the parade will start promptly from Vermilion Chrysler at 11 am.

We ask all Parade watchers to set up off the street West of 46 St (Vermilion Chrysler). Please bring your lawn chairs, bags for candy, picnic baskets and ask you to do your best to pick up any litter before you leave!

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Parade Chair, Heather MacMillan at 780-853-7012 or the Vermilion Agricultural Society Office at 780-853-4108.
